The Patientrack Solution is a hospital communications and clinical guidance software application that collects and analyses patient data and alerts the appropriate clinical staff of patients at risk of suffering an Adverse Event in the general ward environment. Early intervention is the key to preventing deaths and disabilities from Adverse Events.
Patientrack is specifically designed for the general ward environment where scope for Adverse Events and failure to detect such events is higher than in more monitored environments. Patientrack continuously evaluates basic clinical patient observation data that are usually captured on a hardcopy patient chart.

Nurses input patient clinical observation data, at regular intervals, directly into a portable capture device; Desktop PC, PDA or tablet. These data are continuously processed by a hospital-based server upon which the Patientrack application sits.
Patientrack logs patient observations and prompts when observations are not done when ordered. A rules based engine evalutates the observations and determines an alert status for the patient.
Where a patient alert status reaches a defined threshold, Patientrack communicates an alert to appropriate medical staff to intervene. The alert can be delivered via the standard pager, telecoms, or wireless networks within a hospital.
Ward terminals continually show all patients' observation and alert status.
A full suite of reporting and analysis services are available to clinicians and administrators.
