Directors

Patientrack is led by highly experienced medical, health systems, and commercial professionals who have a deep understanding of the issues and the solution. Dr Michael Buist, Patientrack's CMO and a Director, is a recognized global expert in the field of preventing Adverse Events having published several major research papers and championed the implementation of Medical Emergency Teams.

  • Dr Michael Buist

    Associate Professor Dr Michael Buist - Chief Medical Officer, Director

    Michael is a leading intensive care specialist and researcher. He has held several senior Intensive Care roles in Australia within the public and private system. He is currently the Regional Director of Medicine for the North West of Tasmania in a conjoint Associate Professor role with the University of Tasmania rural clinical school in the areas of patient safety and simulation.

    Michael holds degrees in medicine and surgery and a Doctorate in general medicine. He is a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, a fellow of the joint faculty of intensive care medicine and holds a graduate certificate in health economics. Michael is a leading global expert in Adverse Events and has published extensive original studies in the field of Adverse Events and mortality rates (See research section). He is a regular speaker at major international conferences on such issues and has been awarded several grants to study the area.

  • Mr Michael O'Sullivan

    Mr Michael O'Sullivan, Director

    Michael has extensive experience in management consulting, corporate finance, strategy and marketing. He commenced his career with Price Waterhouse Corporate Finance and has held corporate strategy, consulting and senior management roles within Australia, Asia and New Zealand with major information technology, manufacturing, automotive and marketing companies. Michael has a background in incubating successful early stage businesses. He holds a Master of Applied Finance, a bachelor of Economics and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Michael is currently Vice President Asia Pacific of a global marketing services company.

  • Mr Colin Mackinnon

    Mr Colin Mackinnon, Director

    Colin has over 20 years experience in establishing and managing ICT professional service teams in Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom, including 5 years as a Partner/Director in Deloitte Consulting. He has been a principal in two ICT consulting / software development start-ups and has built and led a number of ICT service delivery teams within larger firms. He holds an Honours degree in Business Studies, is a Chartered Accountant (NZ) and a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Colin is a Principal of MKM Consulting, a specialist health ICT services and solutions provider operating in Asia and the United Kingdom.

  • Mr Sam Hollander

    Mr Sam Hollander, Director

    Sam has had an extensive career in senior management within the consulting, software, information systems and health sectors having held Managing Director, Business Development and Marketing Director Roles in Asia Pacific with Deloitte Consulting. Mr Hollander is experienced in new business start-ups and was responsible for establishing Deloitte Consulting in South Korea. Prior to his career in large scale software projects he held a senior executive role with XIVth Commonwealth Games, Auckland, New Zealand and retired as Lieutenant Colonel in the New Zealand Army after 20 years service. Sam is based in the United Kingdom.
